9/21/03 - Joyce Gifford Spencer Starts New Business......

I have just become an Independant Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. I have a home in Southern Utah along with family.  I visit very often and would love to have people host a skin class with me in St. George or any other areas between Ogden and St. George.  You know school teachers don't have much to do, ha, ha.

8/25/03 - LuWayne Barber's Wife Passed Away Last Saturday......

In the presence of her family, who loved her, Debra Ann Barber, passed  away from a sudden illness, August 23, 2003.  She was born Debra Ann Watson in Twin Falls, Idaho on April 19, 1951 to Dudley Watson and Joyce Watkins Watson of Kennewick, WA  their first beloved child.

She grew up with many privileges in a close loving family.  She graduated from Castleford, Idaho High School in 1969 and attended Ricks College.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, R. LuWayne Barber.  They married on June 29, 1973 in the St. George, Utah LDS Temple.  She will be missed by her loving children, Tobi (Jack) Laub, St. George, Utah; Cody (Codi) Barber, St. George, Utah; Ginger (Justin) Benson, Pope Air Force Base, NC, (Justin is stationed in Bagdad, Iraq); Staci Barber, Provo, Utah; Aaron and Kaden Barber, both St. George, Utah.  Debbie loved, cherished and nurtured her seven grandchildren Austin, Riley, BreAnden, Haley, Hannah, Tristen, and Cierra.

Debbie will always be remembered as the older big sis that rallied and organized her siblings.  They enjoyed many of Debbie's jokes, games and giggled over many of the "funnies". Her best friend was her sister, Kelly (Courtney) Stevens of St. George, Utah.  Her brothers, Brett (Debbie) Watson, Ventura, California and Adam (Lisa) Watson, Kennewick, WA  will miss their big sis and friend.  She is also survived by her grandmother, Sarah Watson, Twin FAlls, ID, mother-in-law, Thelma Barber, St. George, Utah, sister-in-law, Pat (Mike) Esplin of Provo, Utah and her large extended family of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, who all will miss her.

Debbie loved life and enjoyed the many adventures and challenges it delivered.  Because of her vibrant and strong spirit many people were attracted to her.  There was never a stranger in her life, everyone she knew was proud to call her "friend".  She had a wonderful smile and great personality that would warm any room.  He life is an example to all of us on how our time on earth should be lived and cherished.

The family expresses its appreciation to Dr. Brad Thompson, Dr. Craig Booth and the staff of DRMC for their devotion and care of our Debbie.  Debbie loved and enjoyed her position and co-workers in the office of Dr. Scott Bulloch.
